From my experience, tinypng.com works better, than WebP.
Instant Run is peace of crap, it could cause a problem that not even related to it in any way. and then you spend 4 hours on fixing a bug, that does not even exist. Just turn off Instant Run.
Nice article for beginners, though. Could be used as check-list.
